WA Police reveal passing of PD dog Storm<\/p>\n
One of the WA Police Force\u2019s most loyal and brave servants has died. Police dog Storm died on New Year\u2019s Day, it was sadly revealed this afternoon. \u201cPD Storm was a senior WA Police dog and was often called upon for specific assignments where experience was needed,\u201d WA Police shared in a post on Facebook. \u201cShe enjoyed her retirement being showered with toys and playing with her friends at the park.\u201d Storm served on the force from 2011 until 2018, aiding in countless arrests along that stretch. The loyal pooch often put herself in harm\u2019s way, including when she was injured during the Carlisle deli shooting where her paw was grazed by a bullet. Other high-profile action included the tracking of boys charged over the trashing of a Goldfields high school just hours after a $45 million revamp. Police dog Storm also helped in the arrest of a man charged over a dramatic high-speed pursuit where he allegedly topped 150km\/h. In another incident in 2015, Storm helped find two males allegedly involved in the hold-up of a pizza driver in Clarkson. Two teens and a man allegedly approached the victim when one of them pulled a knife. Pizzas, cash and the driver\u2019s mobile phone before fleeing. Storm discovered the two males hiding in a nearby home.
