The Milwaukee County House of Correction K-9 unit is mourning the loss of retired K9 Phoenix. He suffered from bone cancer and was laid to rest surrounded by family on Dec 13, 2020. K9 Phoenix served on the Unit from 2014-2018. He was trained in finding narcotics and firearms, criminal apprehension, and was also trained in handler protection. He lived out his retirement years at home with his handler Lt. and was beyond spoiled as a good boy like him deserves!
