New London Police K-9 Dies Unexpectedly<\/p>\n
CPWDA is sad to announce the passing of New London Police Department\u2019s K9 Asher who passed away unexpectedly at Officer Lewis\u2019s home on 7\/2\/20. Asher was a Narcotic Detection dog and served for approximately 18 months. Officer Lawrie was K9 Ashers\u2019s first handler and signed him up for Lifetime Member in the Connecticut Police Work Dog Association joining on 4\/25\/19. Officer Asher then was assigned to Officer Lewis who became the second partner for K9 Asher. Please keep Officer Lawrie and Officer Lewis and their families, New London Police Department and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
