Weimar mourns loss of K9 killed in accident<\/p>\n
The Weimar Police Department announced the loss of Police K9 Lido, age 5, after he died in what was described by the department as \u201can unpreventable accident at home\u201d Sunday, Dec.1. WPD described K9 Lido and his handler Officer Casey Thumann as an \u201cunstoppable patrol team\u201d, Weimar Police Officer Casey Thumann and her K9 partner, Lido, were named K9s4COPs K9 Rookie of the Year. Weimar Police Department received K9 Lido, a dual-purpose narcotics and patrol K9, in 2017 from K9s4COPs. In April, Lido found 15 bricks of cocaine weighing 35 pounds with an estimated street value of approximately 1.5 million dollars.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
