K9 Rocky Succumbs To Bone Cancer<\/p>\n

Upper Darby Police Department (UDPD) K9 Rocky died on Nov. 25, following a battle with an aggressive form of bone cancer, according to his department. K9 Rocky, a 10-year-old Belgian Malinois, had served the department alongside his human partner, UDPD Officer Frank Guille, since 2014, The Delaware County Daily Times reported. K9 Rocky\u2019s fellow officers gathered around him to say their goodbyes before he was humanely euthanized on Nov. 25, Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood told the paper. \u201cThey gave a humbling, supportive sendoff,\u201d Superintendent Chitwood said. Officer Guille was by his side in his final moments, the UDPD noted in a Facebook post later that evening. \u201cOfc. Guille was by K9 Rocky\u2019s side as he passed and was supported by members of the 4th Platoon, the Patrol Captain, UDPD K9, and other local K9 teams,\u201d the department said. \u201cRest In Peace, Rocky. You will truly be missed!\u201d K9 Rocky, a patrol and narcotics K9, was \u201cinstrumental\u201d in many arrests and investigations throughout his career.
