Sheriff’s Office announces passing of K9<\/p>\n
The Blair County Sheriff\u2019s Office announced the passing of their K9, Lily, Tuesday. They said K9 Corporal Lilly was the office’s original K9 and served the community well. They are asking each agency to join them on Lilly\u2019s final ride from the Hollidaysburg Animal Clinch to the memorial site in front of the courthouse. The ride is Nov. 7 and starts at 2:50 p.m. with a brief ceremony planned at the memorial to say goodbye to Lilly, police said. Lilly was an explosive detection dog donated to the Sheriff\u2019s Office by U.S. Army Special Forces in 2013. She served two tours of duty in both Iraq and Afghanistan before coming to Blair County.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
