Glassborro P.D. Mourns K9 Bento<\/p>\n

Condolences go to Sgt. Ryan Night on the passing of his recently retired K9 partner Bento # K9 102 who was 10.5 years old and served for 9 years. Bento had recently retired on July 1, 2015 after being diagnosed with inoperable terminal cancer in May. He got to spend some quality time just being a dog and we are grateful for everything that the team accomplished throughout their career. Bento was euthanized at Pitman Animal Hospital with his handler, Glassboro police Sgt. Ryan Knight; Knight’s wife, Glassboro police Cpl. Mindy Knight; and other officers at his side. “He was a police dog and he was my partner, but most of all, he was a member of my family,” said Ryan Knight.
