Tulare County Sheriff\u2019s Department mourns loss of K-9<\/p>\n
A police dog on the staff of the Tulare County Sheriff\u2019s Department has died from a medical issue possibly related to the Valley\u2019s run of 100-plus-degree days. K-9 Officer Kaytu suffered an intestinal blockage that may have been caused by the extreme heat, Sheriff Mike Boudreaux said. Kaytu was a 6-year-old Belgian Malinois who had served the department for five years.
