New Braunfels Police Department loses beloved retired K-9<\/p>\n

The New Braunfels Police Department is mourning the loss of a beloved K-9 that passed away over the weekend from natural causes. Retired K-9 Hondo served the department’s canine unit alongside Detective Chris Scott for six years. Since his retirement, he has been a member of Scott’s family. Hondo died of natural causes and was 12 years old at the time of his death. He was buried at Scott’s family ranch in Medina County. In his honor, New Braunfels Police Department members will wear a black band over their badges until the end of the week.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
