Retired Fishers PD K-9 Bull dies at 14<\/p>\n
The Fishers Police Department is mourning the loss of K-9 Bull.The retired K-9 died peacefully Wednesday, March 19, at age 14 “while surrounded by the FPD K-9 Unit and several other handlers from neighboring agencies the department said.Fishers PD said Bull was a dual purpose explosive detection\/patrol K-9 that served the department from 2013-19. Sgt. Chris Owens was Bull’s initial handler, and Bull finished his career with Lt. Kyle McFerran.After his 2019 retirement, Bull lived with Lt. McFerran’s family. “K9 Bull had a very successful career, locating numerous missing and wanted subjects and conducting many explosive sweeps at various high profile and local events,” the department said. “FPD thanks Bull for his service to our community and our thoughts are with the McFerran Family.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
