San Francisco police K-9 passes away after 12 years of service<\/p>\n
The San Francisco Police Department is mourning the loss of one of its K-9s. The department announced Monday that K-9 Carlow passed away after 12 years of service.During that time, Carlow was involved in \u201chundreds of narcotics and money investigations throughout the state,\u201d SFPD said in a social media post. Those investigations resulted in money seizures totaling almost $4 million.Carlow also entertained children through a number of demonstrations at schools across the Bay Area, police said.While Carlow worked hard, SFPD said he also played hard. \u201cCarlow loved trips to Lake Tahoe, swimming in the Truckee River, romping in the snow, and getting filthy on the beach,\u201d the department said. \u201cHe brought a smile to everyone that met him.\u201dK-9 Carlow was with the department since 2012.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
