D.C. police are mourning the sudden death of one of its K-9 officers. On Thursday, the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said K-9 Jerry passed away. He had been serving on the force since 2017 with his handler as a dual-purpose patrol and narcotics canine. \u201cOfficer Jerry\u2019s service and impact won\u2019t be forgotten,\u201d MPD stated.
