The South Euclid Police Department is mourning the death of retired K-9 Kolbe, who proudly served the city from 2013 until his recent retirement.K-9 Lt. Mike Fink shared 12-year-old Kolbe\u2019s health \u201crapidly deteriorated this weekend and it was not fair to allow the old warrior to suffer. He passed away next to a beautiful lake in my arms and with his family and friends at his side.\u201dK-9 Kolbe served as a founding member of the EDGE SEAT Tactical K-9 Program, SEPD said, and was deployed on more than 250 high risk operations.When his four paws weren\u2019t just enforcing the laws, K-9 Kolbe regularly visited Adrian Elementary School where he and his partner \u201cgot to know the wonderful students and teachers,\u201d according to Lt.
