Morgan County decorated narcotics K9 Emma dies<\/p>\n
The Morgan County Sheriff\u2019s Office and K9 unit is mourning the loss of one of its own following the passing of K9 Emma, the sheriff\u2019s office announced on Friday.The Morgan County Sheriff\u2019s Office said K9 Emma, who served the sheriff\u2019s office for 8 years along with partner Cpl. Carrie Bowman, died Thursday evening. She was a decorated narcotics detection K9, a certified therapy dog and a sheriff\u2019s office SRO team member.Officials said she went down to rest but never woke up.The legacy of K9 Emma will live on in not just the sheriff\u2019s office but within the generation of students, teachers and staff at multiple schools in Morgan County. The sheriff\u2019s office said she traveled to many schools but Cotaco was home. The sheriff\u2019s office said cards can be sent to Cpl.
