Garfield Heights Police Department mourns passing of retired K-9 Rosco<\/p>\n
The Garfield Heights Police Department sadly confirmed the passing of retired K-9 Rosco, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Mar. 14.K-9 Rosco was trained at a six-week long K-9 academy at Von Der Haus Gill in Wapakoneta in the winter of 2012 before serving the Garfield Heights community.GHPD said Rosco served as a dual-purpose patrol and narcotics police K-9 faithfully alongside his partner, Det. Pat Hace.K-9 Rosco\u2019s successful career included numerous arrests from his deployments for tracking, narcotics detection, and evidence recovery, GHPD stated.When K-9 Rosco\u2019s four paws weren\u2019t enforcing the laws, he attended events throughout the community with his partner in preventing crime until retiring on Dec. 8. 2018.\u201cK-9 Rosco will be missed by all who knew him,\u201d GHPD stated. \u201cRest in Peace K-9 Rosco, you served your community well!\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
