Harris County Precinct 3 holds funeral, remembering K9 Mirko<\/p>\n
Harris County Precinct 3 remembered one of their own Tuesday at the The River Church in Channelview. Mirko, the K9, died suddenly last week from a heart disease. During the ceremony, constable officers recalled their time spent with Mirko. From police stops to drug busts, the K9 was an integral part of the department. Quintanilla says they worked together for four years and the K9 was like a family member. “It’s kind of tough, trying to hold tears back,” he added. “It’s going to hurt.” Jose Quintanilla was Mirko’s partner and says the K9 was with him all the time. “He was so friendly,” Quintanilla said. “Anybody could come up and touch him.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
