The Vernon RCMP detachment is mourning the passing of one of its four-legged members.”We’re saddened to share the news of the death of retired Police Service Dog Cain,” the detachment says on its Facebook page.”PSD Cain spent his entire eight-year career protecting the communities and residents of the North Okanagan, and he aided in the tracking and apprehension of countless criminals.”Cain is also credited with leading the way in finding and helping numerous lost or missing people during his service.”Our heart goes out to his family and his friend and handler during this difficult time and we hope the memories of their adventures together bring some comfort.”Good boy Cain.
