A beloved four-legged member of the Ocean County Sheriff\u2019s Office has died, authorities confirmed.K9 Roscoe died on Friday at just five years old after a brief fight with lymphoma, the sheriff\u2019s office said in a statement.\u201cRoscoe passed away peacefully with his handler, Sheriff\u2019s Officer Raymond Vosseller, by his side,\u201d the sheriff\u2019s office said.The K9 crimefighter served with the Ocean County Sheriff\u2019s Office for four years, with both K9 Roscoe and Vosseller certified as an explosive detection team by the New Jersey State Police.Roscoe and Vosseller worked throughout the Garden State as members of the New Jersey State Police Detect and Render Safe Task Force. Both were often seen at local events at venues from Metlife Stadium to the Prudential Center.
