Handler – PC Scott Mcentee <\/p>\n

Canine crime-fighter, PD Kruger Passed away a short illness. German Shepherd Kruger \u2013 who was a firearms support dog for six years \u2013 retired at the age of 10 and spent his final days relaxing at home with his handler and family. Handler PC Scott Mcentee paid tribute to the excellent work and and results of his canine companion. \u201cKruger was a very loyal companion and had a high desire and drive to work,\u201d he said. \u201cI handled him for over five years, during which time we achieved some great results.\u201d A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: \u201cOur police animals play an absolutely crucial role in the detection and prevention of crime \u2013 and we\u2019re so thankful to them for everything they do.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
