The UW-Madison Police Department bid farewell to one of their own.K9 officer Casey, who was with the department for over a decade, died Sunday, officials announced. Casey had spent the last five years in retirement with Capt. Cherise Caradine and her family. Casey was a hard worker and an incredible dog, In addition to her drug detection expertise, she had attained level III tactical obedience. \u201cWe\u2019ll always know her as \u2018The #1 Dog in the State\u2019 \u2014 a self-given title that we think fits her perfectly.Casey was renowned for her drug detection abilities and tactical obedience. Thank you for your many years of service, Casey \u2014 and for making campus a better, safer place.
