Nez Perce police K9 Aika passes away<\/strong><\/p>\n

Today was a sad day for us. Our beloved K9 Aika (retired) passed over the rainbow bridge. Aika was 14 years young, had arthritis, and had recently been diagnosed with cancer. Aika passed away with her lifelong partner\/handler by her side. K9 Aika started her career with the Lincoln County Sheriff\u2019s Office before retiring with Nez Perce County. During her career she tracked 6 suspects, located over 37 lbs of methamphetamine, 7 lbs of heroin, and 10 oz of cocaine. K9 Aika even had a career in Hollywood, as she starred in the movie, We\u2019re The Millers. Rest In Peace sweet girl, you will be forever missed and always in our hearts.
