Kenton County police mourn loss of retired K-9 officer Loki
The Kenton County Police Department is saying farewell to their retired K-9 officer Loki. The department said Loki suffered a terminal medical emergency early Monday and the decision was made to humanely euthanize him. Loki began working with Officer Jason Deacon in Nov. 2014. He had more than 647 deployments, including 381 of those assisting outside agencies.Loki was also a part of 145 arrests.The Loki retired in February and spent his remaining days with the Deacon family.”Thank you for your service Loki and may you rest in peace. Our deepest condolences to his handler, Officer Deacon, and his family,” Kenton County police wrote Monday on Facebook.
