Force mourns retired K9 “Brady” after having to put him down
The Kennesaw Police department lost one of their own yesterday after K9 Brady succumbed to medical issues and had to be put down. The 12-year-old police dog retired in 2013 after seven years of active duty.The department says of K9 Brady, K9 Bady’s accomplishments in apprehensions, tracks, narcotic finds, and public demonstrations, had an immeasurable impact on our community as an ambassador for our department. “ After his retirement he went on to live with his handler, Officer Morton. “He was an impressive Canine and had a great career…and I will miss him.” Says Morton. The Kennesaw Police treated Brady to one last patrol ride around the city the day before they had to say goodbye to the beloved K9.
